This step is simple, whenever your customers send you deposit for your service, never start working and never contact that customer (ghosting them) ever again.

Why would you should right? All the customer probably waste of your time anyway. Just use some same marketing template design and don't even pay, just try to find pirated version, even if it has malware, who cares. It's your customer's problem, not yours.

Less Information, No Transparency
Never update your progress, never reply your emails, phone calls immediately. Your customers not expert and they don't have to know about anything, right?
Project Management Software, no. Shared Git Instance, never. Your customer can steal your service (code) before you steal from them.
Blame your customer
You were right. Customers always wrong. They don't even know your work, how can they understand the work.
Short term benefit
Focus on short term benefits. Long term mindset businesses for stupid poor business owners. All matter is now, not tomorrow or one year later.
Bonus (for software business): Dark patterns
Design your payment, billing, subcription cancelation, email subscription settings poorly, even broke that software so your customers cannot do anything.
Put the worst customer support software, and employees. Your customer cannot reach you out and hate you more.
